La Comtesse is a white wine characterised by its great balance, elegance and purity, showing the distinctive personality of Albariño. It is a modern wine that shows the versatility of the albariño variety reaching new horizons, beyond the freshness and the fragrant and abundant aromatic range it boasts. Made from the oldest vines of the property, planted in 1965, located in the Pago Cacheiro.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Bright yellow colour.
Nose: It presents a wide aromatic range that includes ripe nectarine, quince fruit, flashes of thyme, dill, fennel on a background of eucalyptus.
Palate: In the mouth it has good volume, is structured, tasty, complex and creamy. It has a fresh and persistent finish.
DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN: Rías Baixas.
WINEMAKING: Made with 100% Albariño grapes.
AGEING: Aged for 12 months in the same wooden vats and a further 13 months in concrete tanks.
CURIOSITIES: The Pazo de Barrantes estate is located in the heart of the Salnés Valley, and at its centre is a winery that bears its name, in the most faithful architectural style of the pazo, a Galician palace from the 16th century. Twelve hectares of the highest quality Albariño grape vineyards, planted on sandy, shallow and somewhat acidic soil. With a clear objective, the production of an Albariño worthy of a prominent place among the best wines of Spain.
