Jaume Serra is situated on top of a hill that slopes gently toward the Mediterranean Sea in Vilanova (Barcelona). Its origins date back to 1647, the year in a place called El Padruell, a walled estate from the seventeenth century served to protect an old farmhouse built fortress. The current winery is surrounded by an estate of 125 hectares of vineyards with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo and Chardonnay. Our underground cellars, heated at 15 ° C, are prepared to 14 million bottles, with cavas of different vintages. It is planned an expansion that will increase production capacity to 50 million bottles. Winemaking facilities have a production capacity of 5 million kilos of grapes, and currently has a capacity of 3,500 barrels of American and French oak barrels for aging wine, reserva and gran reserva of great quality.
