TASTING NOTES

  • Appearance: Intense ruby colour with purple reflections.
  • Nose: Elegant and lively. Aromas of red berries, currants, blueberries and gooseberries, intertwined with notes of leather, golden tobacco, wild mint and sage.
  • Palate: Fresh and enveloping, with a soft and subtle entry, elegant tannins and fleshy texture. Long and persistent finish.

 
ELABORATION

100% Merlot variety.
Harvested by hand in small boxes.
Fermentation is carried out by macerating on the skins at a controlled temperature in stainless steel containers.
Aged for 12 months in stainless steel and French oak.
Subsequently, the wine remains in the bottle for 9 more months.

CURIOSITIES

After the war, Livio Felluga, the patriarch of the family and owner of the winery, acquired the first hectares of vineyards in Rosazzo, which today is one of the best wine-growing areas.
Currently, Livio Falliga's property extends over more than 160 hectares of hills in the Collio and Colli Orientali of Friuli, with 155 hectares planted with vineyards.
