San Román Malvasía is a balanced, upright, round, smooth white wine with a vibrant minerality. It is a single varietal Malvasía grown at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level. Its vineyards are 60 years old and are planted in sandy soils.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Clean and bright straw yellow colour.
Nose: Elegant and fresh aromas, very lively, where the wood is mixed with citric notes, white flowers, some fennel and herbaceous touches.
Palate: On the palate it has a very good entry, with a very balanced, vertical and sharp passage. The finish is long, complex and persistent with a tasty mineral aftertaste.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Toro.
WINEMAKING: Made from 100% Malvasia grapes.
AGEING: Aged for 10 months with periodic lees stirring until bottling.
CURIOSITIES: In 1987 the Toro denomination of origin was founded, a wine-growing area that has been gaining prestige and popularity in recent years due to the quality of its wines, very well qualified in fairs and specialised competitions. The region, irrigated by the Duero river, is located between the south-east of the province of Zamora and the south-west of the province of Valladolid and comprises the westernmost part of the autonomous community of Castilla y León.
