- Bigarreau cherry red with some garnet.
- In nose aromas of fruits, strawberries, redcurrants, nectarines and cherries. Fleshiness and fluidity of ample flow and full of a final that invokes its origin in the scrubland, with camomile and flower of rosemary and still beyond, the grape Garnacha that us celebrates with its characteristic citrus with the skin of red grapefruit.
- In the mouth it combines juicy fruit with earthy tones, very fine and balsamic tannins, Mediterranean herbs and a tasty and almost salty finish.
Elaboration
The grapes come from five selected traditional vineyards that offer the most concrete and beautiful singularity of the Yerga valley. La Rioja Oriental -wind, light, history- is declared in five star vineyards that add up to 20 hectares in the places of Valmira, Valfrío, Las Mulgas, Valviejo and Corral de Serrano. Its symbol is five stars of brilliant beauty, catalyzed by the region's traditional Garnacha grapes, wise and full of meaning, healthy and refreshing, localised, unique, curdled with affinity with its natural environment and a thousand-year-old tradition.
Harvesting is done by hand, taking advantage of low solar intensity hours to keep the grapes fresh. Once in the winery, the grapes pass through a selection table before being destemmed. It undergoes maceration and fermentation in wooden vats and is then transferred to barrels so that the malolactic fermentation can begin. It is aged for 12 months in barrels and bocoys.
CuriosityFor Álvaro Palacios, this must be the typical wine of Alfaro. Production of 40,000 bottles. There will be no Property in 2016; it is only produced in a few vintages.
