CURIOSITIES
The Manuel Formigo winery was born as the next generation of the Formigo de la Fuente family, which for generations maintained a close relationship with viticulture and winemaking in the Ribeiro.
After being part of an industrial winery for the last two decades, they have taken a leap in quality.
In 2006 they returned to their origins, beginning to make wines exclusively with grapes from their own vineyards.
Which comprise about 6 hectares of land where you can find almost all the autochthonous varieties of the Ribeiro region.
In the case of white varieties, they work with Treixadura, Godello, Loureira, Caiño Blanco, Torrontés, Albariño, Alvilla do Avia and Palomino
In the case of red varieties, they work with the Caiño longo, Sousón, Brancellao and Alicante Bouschet varieties.
