Bodegas Chivite
The recent history of Bodegas Chivite runs from the time of the Court of Isabella II of Spain until the toast of Elizabeth II at the Palace of Moncloa or toast SS.MM. Kings of Spain with all the presidents of the member countries of NATO at the Madrid Summit 97.
From 1647 until today, the Chivite family has been passing his winery from father to son uninterruptedly.
Julian Chivite has been a key figure in the world of Spanish wines of the twentieth century, in recognition of this effort was honored the Regulatory Council of the denomination of origin Navarre in 1980.
In 1992 he was awarded the Commendation of the Order of Agricultural Merit awarded by the King of Spain and delivered by the Minister of Agriculture Fisheries and Food Don Pedro Solbes.
In 1997 the Government of Navarre awarded him the Cross of Carlos III the Noble posthumously for having helped to bring the wines of Navarra among the most prestigious national and international level, achieving that currently his winery is recognized as one of the most prestigious ECrianza: 6 months on its own lees
