Development and Aging
After the rigorous selection of vineyards for the production of The Sequé, it is made of vintage younger plots, balanced production, for the production of this wine of Mediterranean character, with ripe fruit and balsamic freshness.
Wine made from a blend between the local variety, the Monastrell, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, has a short breeding (six months in barrels).
La Bodega
Bodegas the Sequé (Foothills Pinoso) belongs to the group Artadi. It is located in Alicante, which is historically a land of wines. The numerous references and historical traces that Phoenicians and Romans left throughout the Spanish Levant, denote the clear wine tradition of this land.
Artadi acquired the property in 1999, motivated by the desire to create and produce wines with a historical content and attracted by the climate and Mediterranean viticulture. In Sequé climate and soil itself, a vineyard, a variety and an ancient tradition come together. Conditions that define exactly the concept of'Terroir'.
It has forty hectares of vineyards settled in very poor in clay and humus-brown limestone floors; perfect combination for producing high quality wines. With 80% of production, Monastrell wines gives a wide range of ripe fruit and nuances of Mediterranean forest. Rounding out the vineyard with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
They produce mature, voluptuous, seasoned by an antagonistic climate and fresh volatility of balsamic that generates a Mediterranean climate wines.
Crianza: 6 months in French oak barrels.
