CURIOSITIES
Just over 10 years since the creation of Viñas del Vero, the leading winery of the D.O. Somontano illuminates one of its most desired projects, the creation of a winery to exclusively produce its highest-end wine.
Blecua opened its doors in 2000 and is located on the axis that defines the Vero River from Barbastro to Alquézar.
The Blecua tower dates from the late eleventh century, and was used as a place of retreat by the French Benedictine monks of Santa Fe de Conques. It is located in the most central area of Somontano and has a house built towards the end of the nineteenth century that Viñas del Vero restored to build the winery that produces Blecua.
