TASTING NOTES

• Appearance: Cherry colour with maroon edges.
• Nose: Aromas of red fruits and liquorice accompanied by balsamic, earthy and mineral notes.
• Palate: Good structure accompanied by soft tannins and juicy acidity. Very aromatic wood and a long, slightly bitter finish.

 
ELABORATION

Variedades: Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels from different forests.
The result was 46 wines depending on the origin of the grape and the type of barrel. This wine is the final blend of all of them.

CURIOSITIES

The Tomás Postigo winery was founded in 2008, when Tomás Postigo, a chemical researcher and one of the architects of the consolidation of the appellation since 1984, decided to make his own wines. As a highlight, it is the first winery to receive the Carbon Footprint, an eco-label that guarantees sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
In the vineyards  of Tomás Postigo 5º año, limestone, sandy loam soils with stones and pebbles predominate and are arranged at an altitude above sea level of 750 to 1,000 meters.
