Laderas del Norte is a red wine produced by Bodegas Arzuaga that departs from the style of wines that characterises this winery. It is an organic wine that comes from a single vineyard in the westernmost area of the denomination of origin, Finca Valdesardón, obtaining a more modern wine, with 12 months of ageing, respecting the terroir and with a meticulous elaboration.
TASTING NOTES:
Appearance: Cherry red colour with purple glints. Medium-high intensity, clean and bright.
Nose: High aromatic intensity of red fruits such as raspberry and cherry, together with balsamic tones, coffee and roasted notes typical of its time in oak barrels.
Palate: In the mouth it is fresh and elegant, with an easy and balanced entry, leaving sensations of fleshiness and volume on the palate. Slightly sweet and toasted notes and a pleasant aftertaste.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Ribera del Duero.
WINEMAKING: Made with 100% Tempranillo grape variety.
AGEING: Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES: These are organically grown grapes harvested from the "Valdesardon" estate, owned by the Arzuaga Navarro family, which is the most westerly vineyard in the Ribera del Duero DO, located at an altitude of 800 m in the municipality of Olivares de Duero. The clay-limestone hillside terrain will largely determine the characteristics of the wine.
