Alcorta Ágil Roble is a young, fresh and fruity red wine from Campo Viejo, a famous Rioja winery. It is a single varietal Tempranillo made in Ribera del Duero. It is a wine that stands out for being intense on the nose, complex, with a mixture of ripe fruit aromas and toasted and spicy touches.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Intense cherry red colour with violet hues.
Nose: It has an intense and complex aroma with a mixture of ripe fruit with toasted and spicy touches acquired during its time in oak barrels.
Palate: In the mouth it is fresh, with character and persistent, with a fruity taste of blackberries.
DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: Ribera del Duero.
WINEMAKING: Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes.
AGEING: Aged for 4 months in French and American oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES: Bodegas Juan Alcorta, named after its founder, Juan Alcorta, located on the old road to Fuenmayor (Logroño).
A winery dedicated exclusively to crianza, reserva and gran reserva wines, whose vineyards are divided into plots so that the grapes are used for each type of wine. For ageing in barrels, we use American oak and French oak as a priority, in a serene and restful environment for ageing the wine.
Most of the vineyards are made up of old vines, more than 25 years old, where the Tempranillo variety is mainly grown.
