The Vínculo Reserva is a good demonstration of the potential of Tempranillo from La Mancha. This single varietal wine displays aromas of ripe fruit, toast, toast and spices after a proper oxygenation. The forcefulness and power that distinguishes these reds is offset by polished and powerful tannins.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Intense red colour with ruby rim, clean and bright.
Nose: Deep aromas of black fruits and liquorice, with hints of vanilla and roasted notes typical of the ageing process.
Palate: Subtle and persistent on the palate, with a long finish with hints of liqueur, coffee and blackberry.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: La Mancha.
WINEMAKING: Made with 100% Tempranillo grape variety.
AGEING: Aged for 18 months in American oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES: The Fernández Rivera Family's project in Castilla La Mancha was born with the aim of making great wines of limited production next to the iconic windmills of Campo de Criptana, where the family recovered a beautiful typical Manchegan construction to house their winery. After much scouring of the region, the family found what they were looking for: good old Tempranillo vines, well acclimatised to the local conditions. They soon discovered that if the plants were well cared for, carefully selected and their yields controlled, the great Manchego wine they had dreamed of could become a reality.
