CATA's notes:
- Color Intense cherry red with garnet rims.
- Nose It is fine and elegant, with aromas of ripe fruit and flowers, along with smoky and spicy touches from its aging in oak.
- Mouth With a lot of structure, it is very powerful, tasty and elegant, with a good entry into the mouth and very persistent. With a long finish on the palate, it maintains the typical sweetness of Monastrell.
Production and Aging:
Made with Monastrell from a vineyard that is over 40 years old. The yield per vine is very low, obtaining highly concentrated grapes of enormous organoleptic complexity. Maceration-fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak that varies depending on the characteristics of the harvests, 12 months in this case, it has remained in stainless steel tanks until it is bottled.
Curiosities: This wine was formerly known as "Juan Gil 12 months". The Juan Gil winery is a historic winery in Jumilla, a winery that was built in 1916 by Juan Gil Giménez. He is currently in charge of the winery for the fourth generation
