Vizana is a smooth yet persistent red wine, which stands out for its balance between its young and fruity character, with a slight hint of roughness. It is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. The delicacy of the French oak gives it elegance that leads you to discover intense aromas of cherries in liqueur, toast, spices and a mineral touch that fills it with freshness.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Deep cherry red colour, medium-high robe.
Nose: Powerful, with hints of pepper, vanilla, ripe fruit, combining a not excessively marked wood, where roasted notes can be appreciated.
Palate: Smooth entry on the palate, giving way to a burst of flavours and sensations on the palate, sincere of the Tempranillo with which this wine is made. Slight roughness, roundness in the mouth and fleshy.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Ribera del Guadiana
WINEMAKING: Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes.
AGEING: Aged in French and American oak barrels for 8 to 10 months.
CURIOSITIES: The grapes are harvested at night, when the temperature of the grapes is lower in order to better preserve all the grape's potential. After the grapes are immediately transferred to the winery, they are crushed and macerated for 8-10 days at 25ºC, with gentle daily pumping over.
Vizana has a limited production of approximately 30,000 bottles per year. This exclusivity makes it one of the winery's most awarded wines.
