Tasting notes:
- Colour: Bigarreau cherry red.
- Nose: Intense, fresh and penetrating aroma. Fruity notes of red fruit, cassis, blackberries and redcurrants and a balsamic and spicy background.
- Mouth: The entrance in mouth is fresh, but it is a fleshy, sweet wine, with a velvety volume and elegant and present tannins.
Elaboration and Ageing:The harvest was done manually and the fruit was transported in small boxes. In order to get the best out of each grape, the grapes are harvested at different points of ripening and are vinified in stainless steel and wooden tanks, using 'pigeage' techniques and with open and closed pumpovers. The maceration time is from 5 to 10 days. The resulting wine is partially aged for about 4 months in French oak barrels.
Curiosities:Mediterranean climate that leaves intense rains in a few hours. In Priorat summers are usually hot and dry, while in winter temperatures drop considerably. Franco-clay soil, with fluvial sediments from the river Siurana
