Palacio Quemado Selected Vintage is the result of the blend of our Tempranillo from calcareous soils and the best red Grenache from the clay soils of our Finca Palacio Quemado. After alcoholic fermentation, 40% of the wine was malolactic in 500 litre French oak barrels and the rest in 225 litre American oak barrels from the first and second year, where the wine remained for 5 months before bottling.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Intense cherry red, clean and bright.
Nose: Intense and deep aroma, reminiscent of blackberries and cherries with slight notes of toasted wood.
Palate: Sweet and balanced, with tamed tannins and a long finish with touches of creamy oak.
Curiosities:
Palacio Quemado has been a member since January 2015 of Grandes Pagos de España, the association of wineries from all over Spain that defends and propagates the culture of Pago wine, produced in a specific terroir and which reflects the unmistakable personality of its soil, subsoil and climate. . The winery, together with the Envínate group of oenologists - Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, Laura Ramos and José Ángel Martínez - works to reflect in the wines the return to the origin and the defence of the nature of each individual terroir to give rise to singular and unique wines.
