Tasting Notes:

  • In nose Fruit stands out with notes of strawberry and banana, souvenirs, vanilla, cedar wood, litter, along with balsamic notes.

Elaboration and Aging:

It is made with grapes 95% Tempranillo Y 5% Garnacha . Tempranillo grapes from vineyards over 30 years of age are converted into must, after a controlled fermentation, impregnated with the warmth of the oak. The small amount of Garnacha Brings strength to Tempranillo. Aged for 12 months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels 3 years of age and then during 9 months in bottle .

Curiosities:

Bodega Luis Canas is a family winery that has been dedicated to wine growing and winemaking for more than two centuries. However, it is in 1970 that Luis Canas comes to the market selling bottled wines of the harvest, which until that moment were sold in bulk.
