Tasting Notes:
- Deep and brilliant ruby colour. Aromas of black cherry and blueberry with hints of ripe strawberry and raspberry, cedar and graphite.
- Ripe and well integrated tannins on the nose
- Medium-bodied in the mouth, with good presence in the mouth, fruity and spicy, round and long.
Elaboration and aging:The 2018 vintage can be described as Mediterranean and warm. However, the vineyard did not suffer too much from drought as the numerous rains and snowfalls of winter ensured sufficient water reserves. The high temperatures from May to June favoured a perfect flowering, an important grape production with a great amount of sugar. The state of health of the grapes was perfect except for the white varieties which suffered an attack of botrytis following heavy storms and rain during the first week of September. The wines of the 2015 vintage are characterized by a somewhat high alcoholic degree and pH, which gives them roundness and fat in the mouth.
