Tasting Notes:
Elaboration and Aging :
Northbound is a Garnacha monovarietal. The grape comes from a very small plot of just over 0.3 hectares planted at 1,200 meters of altitude and facing north. Cold. Very cold in winter and warmer days in summer, although with very cool nights too. The maturation of the grape takes place very slowly, obtaining a good balance between sugar and acidity. Wines with much degree, but barely perceptible on the palate.
Commando G practices an agriculture based on the principles of biodynamics, demonstrating an absolute respect for the land they cultivate.
The grapes are despalillan and macerated in cold. Northward it performs the fermentation in open barrels and the breeding, of twelve months, in French oak barrels of 500 liters.
Curiosities:
Comando G is a project that tries to recover singular parcels of the variety Garnacha, to elaborate wines with the maximum expression of each one of them. Hence its name. G G command of Garnacha.
