CATA's notes:
- Color: rosy.
- Nose: very intense aromas of flowers and refreshing red fruits.
- Mouth: Its aromas anticipate a fine and elegant entry, with a fluid texture and a nerve that extends to the end of the palate.
Production and Aging: At an altitude of 1,000 meters, in a hidden spot in the Valle de las Iruelas –in the Sierra de Gredos– a small Garnacha vineyard of just 1.5 hectares produces a wonderful grape with which Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi makes one of the most vibrant reds of the Peninsula. The soil, which is granite and with slate components, favors the roots working in depth. The east orientation –protected from the late heat– and the height give it freshness.
Made in a tin of
french oak with soft macerations avoiding the use of pumps and aggressive processes. Grape with stalk 100%. Native yeasts. Maceration time around 60 days.
Aged for 14 months in a 300-litre barrel. Unclarified and unfiltered.
Curiosities: Coming from a family of viticulturists,
daniel landi He began his solo adventure in 2012. With a low production, he has managed to produce wines that stand out for their flavor and for reflecting the characteristics of the terroir.
