Dehesa La Granja is a red wine that is characterised by a great deal of ripe fruit. Undoubtedly, the fact that it was aged in the winery's extensive caves dug in stone in the 18th century, just below the modern winemaking halls, is part of the secret that gives this wine a nobility and intensity like few others. The Dehesa La Granja estate that gives it its name and origin is a spectacular property of 800 hectares dedicated to different crops and livestock.
TASTING NOTES:
Sight: Clean and bright garnet colour.
Nose: Aromas of fresh red fruit, redcurrants and raspberries, together with toasted and roasted notes.
Palate: In the mouth it is silky and elegant, very sweet with a marked acidity and well-integrated tannin.
APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: IGP Castilla y León.
WINEMAKING: Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes.
AGEING: Aged for 12 months in American oak barrels.
CURIOSITIES: One of the peculiarities of this winery is its respect for the environment. Therefore, it is not surprising that its 120 hectares of vineyards are perfectly integrated with the cattle that graze in the surrounding area, feeding only on what the estate produces, without the use of any type of fodder.
