Beatriz Herranz is reunited with the Verdejo while she was immersed in a project to recover old garnacha vines in Cebreros, producing a wine called La Fábula. With this project finished, she returns to La Seca (Valladolid), to the family vineyards, in particular, to her grandfather's unspoiled vineyards, to begin this adventure with a small winery, dedicating herself body and soul to Verdejo. Barco del Corneta is the fruit of his personal and professional experience after years linked to the world of vineyards and wine.
With a handmade elaboration, Barco del Corneta is a bet to rescue the essence of the Verdejo, respecting the identity of the variety, the soil and the climate. From the 2014 vintage onwards, Barco del Corneta and Cucú grow in production and two new wines appear: a verdejo from old vines, of centenary vines, and a red from the Arribes del Duero, made mainly with the native Juan García variety.
